Version 2.2 is scheduled to go live on Sunday, October 27th to all users. This update comes after pretty long, just more than a month since the previous update.
Here’s what’s new in this release:
New Features
- BOOKMARK WEBSITE URLS
One of the main highlights of this feature which I feel users will love and really use is being able to bookmark website URLs. Before this update, users could bookmark their recent searches and quickly search them in a single tap. Now, they have an option of either bookmarking their searches, the complete web page URL or both.
There was a lot of debate behind having this as a functionality. In the end, there were enough reasons to include it rather than to not. - APP TRANSLATIONS
Snap Search is now translated in 12 languages:
– Arabic
– Burmese
– Filipino
– French
– German
– Hindi
– Indonesian
– Portugese
– Russian
– Spanish
This came in as a user request, though honestly it should have been done long ago.
Improvements
- Overall UI Improvements and tweaks
- Bug fixes – nothing major at all, been doing really good since past couple of releases.
New Supported Sites
- Google News
- Yahoo News
- Huffington Post
- CNN
- The Washington Post
That’s all for this update. If you haven’t already, please do leave us a nice rating/review on the Play Store 🙂
